Anything you throw at this vehicle, it returns in spades. Below we’ll tell you the basic services you look forward to when your Sprinter is in our shop.
A and B Services
The first service all Sprinter’s go through is the A-Service. Every 10,000 miles, your Sprinter will receive an oil change, fuel filter replacement, and pressure check of all four tires. In addition, the Sprinter’s brakes will be inspected for signs of wear. Your Sprinter’s fluid levels (coolant, brake fluid, diesel exhaust fluid, etc.) will also be checked, and filled in the levels are low. The B-Service occurs every 20,000 miles, alternating with the A-Service, and covers many of the same tasks as the A-service. The B-service includes switching out the cabin and engine air filter. As a practice, we use synthetic oil when we do your Sprinter’s oil service.
Transmission Service And Flush
An important service to be mindful of is the transmission service. Depending on how you use your Sprinter, the transmission service can occur between 40,000-90,000 miles. It’s all dependent on how you drive your vehicle. We recommend you come in for a fluid flush and service every 60,000 miles. The technician will flush out the old transmission fluid, and add back the new fluid. This allows your transmission to perform efficiently. The benefit of performing the flush is your Sprinter will be rid of the contamination that will hamper your performance. Furthermore, the transmission pan gasket, drain plug, and transmission filter are also replaced.
Sprinter services are highly regimented, and we follow them to the very last detail. As mentioned above, a service can be stressful, but we want to give you peace of mind knowing your vehicle is in the right hands. Plus, we’ll know when the next service is around the corner.
